The Edit: Skincare On my Radar

For today I thought I would create a different type of blog post. I’ve seen many types of “the Edit” but basically it’s just stuff I want to highlight to you. So you could say these are on my wishlist, or just in general on my radar! Some are quite expensive, so I will probably not buy them any time soon… But I still want to show to you!

By the way, the photos are links to the websites. So if you click it will bring you directly to their own webshop or Cultbeauty. I thought that might be handy!

Laura Mercier Illuminating Eye Cream

Last weekend I bought a Laura Mercier make up remover and that has triggered me to look more into the brand! It has “green coffee seed oil and light-reflecting violet pearl to reinvigorate and brighten your skin for a youthful, well-rested look”. I mean that sounds amazing, right?

MARA Chia + Moringa Algae Enzyme Cleansing Oil

I have never heard of this brand, but that packaging is gorgeous! Also, the Algae enzymes intrigued me. Apparently, it can help combat skin aging and pigmentation! And the chia brings anti-inflammatory benefits to your skin. All in all, it just seems like a cool product to try! Have you ever tried anything from Mara?

Milk Makeup Melatonin Overnight Serum

The name got me on this one, combing “night” and “melatonin” just seems so right. I literally had no idea what the idea behind it was and I had already added it to my list.
Melatonin is, of course, the chemical that induces sleep in your body, but it’s also is an anti-oxidant! It helps protect you against ROS and aging! If you want to read more about that, look at my recent post on Vitamin C (click here).
It also has many other skin goodies! Too much to list here. If I  buy it I will do a whole blog post on it!

Chantecaille Ultra Sun Protection SPF 45/PA

I am going to be real, I thought this one cost 59 dollars and not 95 dollars. I already thought 59 was quite spenny! But still, it caught my eye because this brand has been blasted all over Instagram… I want to try something of this brand soon, and as it is going to be summer soon this would be my first choice for now.

The Inkey List Peptide Moisturizer

Alright, time for a more affordable option! I’ve been reading more and more into peptides in skincare and I want to start including it. They are present in your skin and important to keep your collagen healthy. I will go deeper into this soon!
I’ve tried the Inkey List before and am really impressed with their brand, so I think this will be a good one as well.

Plenaire Tripler 3in1 Exfoliating Clay

I had this one in my hands in a store last weekend, it looked so cute! But I could not find a price right then and there so I was wise and put it back. I did not want to end up at the register with a tiny tube and be like ‘that will be 80 dollars’. No thank you. But now I see it’s not too expensive! Also, I still haven’t found a new exfoliator, and this might be a really nice one.
I used to use the Lush one that smelled like popcorn (heaven!) but since they’ve been closed for a while I’ve been out of a physical exfoliator.

Dr.Jart+ Vital Hydra Solution

I just never tried an essence and I feel like I should try one out.. This one is pretty new and I’ve been using a Dr.Jart+ sleepmask for a while and that works pretty well. So this might be a good first essence. Unless you have any recommendations for me?

GOOP Exfoliating Instant Facial
Damn. I messed up the price again. I thought it said like 40 dollars, and I should’ve known that GOOP does not do full size for 40 dollars. But my mind was already intrigued so here we are. What I thought was interesting in this product is that the main ingredient was aloe vera juice, followed by many fruity acids.
I feel like not a whole lot of products have the “expensive” ingredient at the top of the list.  But yeah, when I saw the price of a normal-sized jar, my heart dropped a bit. Maybe with a gift card. Or as a gift. hint hint.

Okay, these were the things I was kind of eyeing right now! My little “edit” if you will. I hope you enjoyed seeing them and if you have tried any of these products, let me know! Save me some money if they are horrible haha.

Love,
Romina
